We've had some fantastic sunshine and warm afternoons as of late and everyone thinks that the weather itself is picking up on the energy and excitement of the approaching meet.
I wore my saddle again last Wednesday, as I took my very first twirl about the Oklahoma training track after a few days off after the Mother Goose Stakes. I've galloped each day since, and I'm feeling wonderful and fresh: these crisp early mornings at the track are good for my constitution. It is so exciting to be summering here - so much history and romance!
It is nice here - cool, beautiful, and quiet because the opening of the meet is still a month away. My stall has a window through which I like to gaze while I muse.
This morning I had my first breeze here at Saratoga, a nice and relaxed half mile in the early morning, and I cut smoothly through the crisp low-50's air - if I do say so myself! It was all wonderfully invigorating!
Until next time, from the talented team on the backside and your friend Rachel Alexandra, have a lovely day!
